Our highly decorative candles are all hand made in Eswatini (Swaziland), a small African Kingdom in South Africa. Made by Swazi Candles, they are referred to as ‘glow’ and ‘multi-use’ candles because the outer layer of patterned wax is relatively hard and tends not to melt.
As a result, the inner softer wax burns and the light glows through the outer wax. After the inner wax has burnt away , a small plain candle can be placed inside so that the candle can be re-used.
A wide range of candles are available, produced by combining the numerous patterns and shapes shown in this web site.
We recommend that candle wicks are regularly trimmed to a maximum length of about 7 mm to avoid large flames that can soften the outer wax.
